Ten years ago, our much loved Hartismere Community Hospital was reapeatedly threatened with closure. Dr Dan has helped to keep Hartismere open and secured £1.5 million for the reopening and refurbishment of the hospital. His efforts have also seen the welcome return of many vital community health facilities for residents in Eye and surrounding areas.

Thanks to Dr Dan, there will also soon be a new state of the art care home for local residents at Hartismere, and he has also agreed a plan with local health bosses to look at ways to offer more health and care services at Hartismere in the future. Dr Dan continues to campaign for high quality community services for patients in rural Suffolk.
