During a visit to local Kesgrave organisation, OFTEC, Dr Dan was pleased to meet with Chief Executive, Paul Rose, to learn more about the important work going on here in Suffolk, working to decarbonise off-grid heating systems and develop systems to address fuel poverty.
OFTEC, the Oil-Firing Technical Assoication is the trade association representing the interests of oil-fired boiler, oil storage tank and associated manufacturers. OFTEC work with over 80 training centres nationwide to provide education and competency assessment for heating technicians in the oil-fired sector.

Daniel Poulter: One of the issues that I hope the Government will look at in the review is the voluntary conduct of employers and whether they want to support additional leave for parents of premature babies. We must remember that a baby could be born at 24 weeks, which is many months before its due date. The problem with voluntary codes is that, although some employers might be exemplars, many might not be....
