Dr Dan Poulter, Member of Parliament for Central Suffolk and North West Ipswich spent part of last week with Health Visitors and School Nurses based at Whitton Clinic.
Dan joined local Health Visitor Marc Osborne when he went to check on the progress of a new born baby. Health Visitors provide families with new born babies healthcare and advice.
"As a NHS doctor I always enjoy meeting frontline staff and was pleased to be able to meet th excellent team of health professionals based at the clinic in Whitton.
"I understand the importance of early years support to young families and new babies and am pleased to see that the work I am doing as a Government Minister is making a difference here in Suffolk to give each and every local child the very best start in life."
