Dan very much enjoyed taking part in the annual Kesgrave Primary Schools’ Community Day last week. This year, as part of activities to raise awareness of the opportunities offered by sport in the run up to the London Olympic Games, staff and pupils at Heath Primary, Cedarwood School and Gorseland School all participated in a ‘torch relay’ between the three school sites. Dan addressed the students, parents and volunteers before lighting the torch flame and was pleased to see so many families in attendance, along with a host of activities put on by local sports clubs and groups, including dance, cheerleading, football and badminton displays. The event was a huge success and Dan would like to extend his thanks to Janette Newbould and all of the staff and volunteers at all three schools who gave up their time to ensure the day was a success.
