It was a busy day of meetings for Dr Dan on Friday 22 July, starting off with a joint meeting between Suffolk's 7 MPs and the entire Cabinet from Suffolk County Council. The meeting, hosted at BT's Adastral Park had a jam packed agenda and Dr Dan particularly welcomes the opportunity for all those elected to represent the residents of Suffolk to come together and discuss local issues collectively.
In the evening, Dr Dan was part of a Panel at a public event titled "Black Dog and Stigma – Owning up to Mental Health." The session, chaired by Helen McDermott, was an opportunity for members of the audience to talk about stigma around mental health and ask questions of the Panel, who were highlighting the need to de-stigmatise mental health and the importance of coming forward to seek support as soon as possible.
