As a great supporter of Suffolk’s rural businesses, Dan was delighted to visit Walnes Seeds in Earl Soham, where he met with Managing Director Andrew Cooper before being given a tour of the company’s new facilities. Walnes Seeds is an independent agricultural seed specialist which produces and supplies cereal, grass and pulse seeds, along with grains and fertilisers. The company recently completed the construction of a new seed plant and storage site at Moat Park, Earl Soham and Dan will be visiting again later this summer to officially open the new facilities.
Local farmers and rural businesses play a vital role in Suffolk’s economy and in our communities, and even in challenging economic times, Suffolk’s agricultural industry continues to thrive and employ more local people.
