MP DELIGHTED TO BE PART OF NEW MINISTERIAL HEALTH TEAM

Dr Dan PoulterCentral Suffolk and North Ipswich MP Dr Dan Poulter spoke of his delight yesterday following his promotion as Parliamentary Secretary of State at the Department of Health.

Speaking following his promotion as a Government Minister Dr Poulter said; “ It is an honour and a privilege to be offered this role and I am looking forward very much to working with the Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, the new Health Secretary. While Minister for Culture, Media, Olympics and Sport Jeremy Hunt led on the Governments commitment to ensure that Britain has the fastest internet speeds in Europe by 2015 and Suffolk has benifitted from this by securing £11.6 million of Government funding for high speed internet.

Dr Poulter added; 'I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to bring my frontline experience as an NHS doctor to my new role and am looking forward to working to address some of the major health challenges facing this country.'
