With 1 in 8 jobs in many parts of Suffolk related to agriculture, Dr Dan is a great supporter of our local farmers and food and drink producers. He regularly visits farms in his constituency and joined members of the Ipswich branch of the National Farmer's Union (NFU) near Helmingham to talk about what more can be done to support our agricultural sector. Dr Dan was pleased to have had the opportunity to gain an insight into the important work carried out by farmers in the preservation and sustainability of our Suffolk countryside, and also to have discussed various topical issues in agriculture with members of the farming community so that he can ensure that Government listens to their concerns.
