Otley Sport Relief Fun Run

Dan was delighted to take part in this year's Otley Village Mile, and even more pleased to finish in fourth place in the 6 mile race. The mile was held as part of a nationally coordinated event, which saw communities across the country stage similar races, with all of the proceeds raised going to good causes supported by Sport Relief. It was a real pleasure for Dan to start the race with Ipswich Town and England legend Mick Mills who still holds the club record for the most number of appearances, having played 741 games for Ipswich.

The day was a huge success, with many local residents attending to show their support for a very worthy cause. Dan would like to thank Otley Village Stores manager Penny Sunaway for the time and effort she put in, along with other local volunteers, to make sure that the event ran smoothly, and he very much looks forward to participating again next year.

It is probably worth pointing out, too, that I had the pleasure of being a medical student at King’s many years ago. I pay tribute to the hon. Member for Dulwich and West Norwood (Helen Hayes) on securing...
