Fighting to Stop an Ipswich Northern Bypass

Our local MP, Dr Dan Poulter is standing firm with residents across Central Suffolk & North Ipswich in their fight against proposals for an Ipswich Northern Bypass.  Dr Dan is leading the fight to stop the bypass, working closely with the Stop! Campaign and 20 Parish Councils.

Food Standards

In Suffolk we have excellent farmers, who are highly productive and do a great job protecting our local environment. It's important that the Bill rewards farmers such as ours that contribute so effectively, both to the food chain and also to the environment.

7 Day GP Services

With his first-hand knowledge of the NHS, as a working hospital doctor, Dr Dan has long been an advocate of the return of 7 day GP services and has taken action to change things for the better.

Improving Broadband

Since he was elected in 2010, Dr Dan has been leading the campaign for better broadband services in Suffolk. He has helped to secure £27 million of Government funding and as a result, many homes and businesses in Suffolk will soon be receiving a better broadband service than parts of London.

Broomhill Library & Pool

Dr Dan has been involved in the fight to get Broomhill re-opened since he was elected as our MP in 2010. He helped to keep open Broomhill library and regularly visits both the Library and the pool.

Ipswich Hospital

Dr Dan Poulter is a strong believer in high quality, close to home, health care services, and thanks to his hard work locally in supporting our NHS, things have now changed for the better.

Hartismere Community Hospital

Ten years ago, our much loved Hartismere Community Hospital was reapeatedly threatened with closure. Dr Dan has helped to keep Hartismere open and secured £1.5 million for the reopening and refurbishment of the hospital.

Ipswich Northern Fringe

Dr Dan continues to support residents in the fight against Ipswich Council's plans to concrete over the Ipswich Northern Fringe.

Protecting the Suffolk Countryside

Dr Dan is a committed community campaigner who works hard to protect Suffolk's rural heritage.

He succeeded in helping to protect vital farming and rural jobs by working with the community to block damaging plans for a straw burning power station at Mendesham.
