Dr Poulter was delighted to visit Kinetic Science at their new Headquarters in Claydon. Kinetic Science are an organisation created in inspire and enthuse children and young people to consider a career in Engineering, Science, IT or Maths.
Now in its seventh year of operating, Kinetic Science has seen its Schools Outreach Programme reach across the UK, with over 60 different workshops including Pop-up Planetarium, Marquee Rain Forest and Forensics. Their Lab in a Library workshops have been to over 50 libraries across the East of England and is now set to expand across the UK.
Dr Dan was pleased to visit as CEO, Debbie Ball, is about to embark on the next exciting stage of the company’s development – a brand new interactive STEM centre in Claydon, which is set to open in October 2021.
“It’s Rocket Science” is an astronomy centre where schools will be able to visit midweek and families will be able to visit and weekends and during school holidays. This will be the largest science centre across the East of England and the experience will allow pupils to train as an astronaut for the day. It will be the only centre in the UK that is “customer experience” focused, instead of simply static exhibits.
