A keen sportsman himself, Central Suffolk and North Ipswich MP, Dr Dan Poulter was pleased to visit Ipswich Sports Club on Henley Road to find out more about what the club has to offer.
Dr Poulter was welcomed to the club by General Manager, Chris Grimwood who then showed Dr Poulter around the club’s impressive facilities. During the visit, Dr Poulter met with some of the club’s rising tennis stars and he heard how the Elena Baltacha Foundation began at the club, with the aim to give more children, from all backgrounds, the opportunity to learn to play tennis.
The Club has an exciting future ahead, having joined a partnership with Game4Padel, a franchise endorsed by Andy Murray, and which will deliver a huge community benefit.
Dr Poulter looks forward to visiting the Club again and to seeing it’s continued success.
