Central Suffolk and North Ipswich MP, Dr Dan Poulter has worked closely with Ipswich MP, Tom Hunt and together, they have secured £25m to deliver improvements across Ipswich. A key project which Dr Poulter has been driving is the improvement of local shopping parades, for example in communities such as Whitton and Whitehouse.
Around £3 million of the original £25 million will be spent on upgrading local community shopping parades, such as the likes of those in Garrick Way, Meredith Road and Fircroft Road. Local residents will see a real difference and improvements to their local shopping parades, which are a vital asset for those living and working in North West Ipswich.
This afternoon, both MPs met with Ipswich Borough Council to discuss progress on the shopping parades project and a further update is expected soon.
