Central Suffolk and North Ipswich MP, Dr Dan Poulter, was pleased to once again join local residents in Offton, Willisham and surrounding villages to update them on his hard work holding National Grid to account over their Norwich to Tilbury pylon proposals.
This was the third public meeting held in Offton Village Hall and Dr Poulter was pleased to update residents on the work he has been undertaking, including meeting with Defence Secretary, the Rt. Hon. Grant Shapps MP to discuss concerns at the impact the pylons would potentially have on the operability of nearby Wattisham Air Base. Dr Poulter is also a key member of the House of Commons Energy Security and Net Zero Select Committee and he recently quizzed key witnesses as part of the Committee's Flexible Grid Inquiry.
During the meeting, Rosie Pearson of the Essex Suffolk and Norfolk Pylons Group also addressed local residents, before thanking Dr Poulter for his hard work and steadfast support, alongside his fellow Parliamentary colleagues.
