Dr Dan Poulter was pleased to meet with Head Mrs Fairs, Deputy Head Mrs Noon and Chair of Governors Mr Kilburn today at Broke Hall Primary School.
During the meeting, Dr Poulter heard concerns about challenges in accessing the right support for children with special educational needs and their families. Dr Poulter continues to raise these concerns with Suffolk County Council and also welcomed publication of the Department of Education’s SEND and Alternative Provision Improvement Plan – Right Support, Right Place, Right Time here.
Dr Poulter then met with a group of enthusiastic school council representatives, including some students from the Eco-Council, all of whom were keen to put their excellent questions to their Member of Parliament. The pupils had a range of interests, from ways in which to keep litter under control to stopping small acts of vandalism and bullying. They were also very keen to find out what it is like to be an MP. Dr Poulter looks forward to visiting the school again soon.
