A regular visitor to our local schools, Dr Poulter was pleased to meet with Headteacher Peter Smith and a group of politics' students from the sixth form of Farlingaye High School. The students put forward some excellent questions to Dr Poulter, they were keen to get his thoughts on some of the big topics such as who has more power within their own Governments; the American President or the Prime Minister of the UK, the subject of Devolution, how successful the Government's Covid strategy had been and what his thoughts were on the NHS and the strikes.
The students agreed with Dr Poulter however, that politics is not always about the big policies, but taking care of people within the local community.
Commenting on the visit Dr Poulter said, “I thoroughly enjoyed talking to the students here at Farlingaye, it was wonderful to see these young people so politically engaged – these are the leaders of the future! I wish them every success in their studies and careers.”
Dr Poulter looks forward to visiting again in the future.
