Dr Dan was recently delighted to attend the launch of the Hour Community at the Crown Hotel in Framlingham. The Hour Community is an initiative that has been set up by the Framlingham Rotary Club in collaboration with the Framlingham Business Association and local volunteers, to encourage local residents to spare some of their time helping more vulnerable members of the community, such as the frail elderly, with simple tasks such as gardening, cooking, shopping or housecleaning.
The launch was a great success and I would like to commend Nick Corke, Vice President of the Framlingham Rotary Club, for all of his hard work in helping to setup the scheme. Dan is proud of all the volunteers who devote so much of their time to helping others in Framlingham and across Suffolk. Having worked in his spare time for charities providing support to the homeless, and those suffering with mental health and drug abuse problems, he knows that volunteers provide an invaluable service for those in need of support and Dan will always do all he can to support Suffolk’s volunteers.
