Last Friday was the national Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning. As an NHS hospital doctor Dr Dan has worked alongside Macmillan nurses and knows what an important role they play in providing care and support for people, and families of people with cancer.
Coffee mornings were held everywhere from Bramford to Debenham, and Yaxley on the Norfolk border, and Dr Dan stopped off at Sir Robert Hitcham Primary School in Debenham before heading over to Yaxley as part of Macmillan’s largest fundraising event of the year. Dr Dan would like to extend his thanks to all of those parents, pupils, staff and volunteers who helped to make these events such a great success in Suffolk. Nobody knows when cancer may touch their lives, and he is delighted that Suffolk has shown such strong support for the Macmillan cause. He would like to pay tribute to all the volunteers and fundraisers that selflessly devote their time to making events such as last Fridays’ coffee morning such a success.
