With the summer drawing to a close, last week Dan was delighted to be invited to open the annual Westerfield fete, which this year featured a selection of traditional activities, cream teas, homemade cake and other small gift items. Events like the Westerfield summer fete demonstrate the strong community ties that underpin our villages and towns in Suffolk, and it was a pleasure for Dan to chat to local residents as he made his way round the various activities and food stalls.
He would like to extend his thanks to Cynthia Reeve for guiding him around the fete, along with all of those who attended or helped with the running of this year’s activities. He very much looks forward to visiting again next year.
