Last week, Dr Dan visited Hartismere High School to meet with A-Level History, Politics and Economics students, and spoke about his role as the MP for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich followed by an unscripted question and answer session. After addressing the students on the work he has been doing both in Parliament and across the constituency, Dan answered questions on a number of issues, ranging from the current difficulties within the Eurozone, university tuition fees and student loans, the economy and public sector pension reform, along with the refurbishment of Hartismere Community Hospital.
Since gaining Academy status in September 2010, Hartismere School has gone from strength to strength under Head teacher Jim MacAtear, and was graded as outstanding in its most recent Ofsted inspection. Dan would like to thank all of the students who participated in the question and answer session and looks forward to visiting Hartsimere High School again soon.
