It was a real pleasure for Dan to meet and chat with residents over tea at Gressland Court in Kesgrave. Gressland Court is an assisted living home which provides support and care for frail older people who might need help with tasks such as bathing or dressing. Residents are provided with a three course lunch every day if they wish, which is available in the shared lounge and care staff are always on hand to provide personal care. Dan managed to chat to a large number of guests, who shared their concerns with him and asked about the work he is doing on their behalf in Parliament and locally.
Dan has written before about his strong support for homes such as Gressland Court and the vital role they play in caring for our vulnerable elderly residents in Ipswich and Suffolk. They will have an even more important role to fulfil in delivering the type of community-focussed care that will be needed if we are to meet the challenge of properly looking after our growing older population in Suffolk.
