Together with Tim Yeo MP, Dr Dan recently took the opportunity to visit Wattisham airbase near north Ipswich. Wattisham is home to the 3 Regiment Army Air Corps and the 4 Regiment Army Air Corps, both of which fly the Apache Attack helicopters. Also based at the site is the 7 Air Assault Battalion REME, along with the 22 RAF Squadron Search & Rescue team, which responds to emergencies within the East of England. With almost 4,000 people living, or working at the base, Wattisham covers a site of 1,072 acres, and provides a number of amenities including a multi gym, swimming pool, squash courts, tennis courts, library and gliding club.
Dr Dan was very pleased to show his support for the Anglian Regiments, and will continue to do so in future. He will always support our brave Armed Forces, both here in Suffolk, and in his work in Parliament.
