A regular visitor to Hour Community and the Worry Tree café in Framlingham, Dr Dan Poulter was pleased to visit the team today to discuss their role supporting local residents since the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Hour Community was founded in 2011 with the aim of encouraging residents of Framlingham to give an hour of their time to help others less fortunate than themselves, through age or health. The ask was to assist with simple tasks that so many of us take for granted, for example cutting grass, painting, or replacing a battery in a smoke detector.
Hour Community has gone from strength to strength and has been a lifeline to many Framlingham residents, not least of all throughout these recent difficult months. Dr Poulter was pleased to speak with Nick Corke and Chris Harber to learn more about how the team of hardworking volunteers have been helping with local food deliveries and collecting and delivery of prescriptions.
