Local MP, Dr Dan Poulter, was delighted to visit Fressingfield Primary School again this morning to deliver a special assembly on democracy and the workings of Parliament.
Pupils had the opportunity to learn more about the role of an MP, both in Westminster and here in the Central Suffolk and North Ipswich constituency.
Dr Dan was welcomed by Deputy Head Teacher, Mr Leicester, before joining a group of over 30 students for a talk on democracy and making of laws in Parliament. The young pupils had plenty of questions to ask and enjoyed the opportunity to question their MP.
After talking with the students, Dr Dan added that "It's always fantastic to see our outstanding young pupils here in Suffolk so engaged with politics and the wider current affairs, especially putting forward such carefully considered and well-informed questions. Fressingfield Primary School always offer me an exceptionally warm welcome and it was abundantly clear that the pupils had done their homework in researching their questions ahead of this special assembly."
