An annual visitor to the Suffolk Show, Dr Dan enjoyed this year's visit to the county's show - showcasing all that is fantastic about Suffolk.
Starting off his visit to the Suffolk Show, Dr Dan was pleased to meet with representatives fro the NFU, including with the County's Chair, Glenn Buckingham, to talk about the NFU's aims and ambitions for British agriculture in a post-Brexit Britain.
Key issues which factored highly on the "wish list" are trade agreements that work for British farming and in particular, paying heed to the outstanding record of welfare and environmental production standards that are currently adhered to here. In addition, access to a competent and reliable workforce was cited as a key priority, as was the importance of creating a domestic agriculture policy which promotes growth and drives productivity.
Dr Dan also enjoyed meeting with members and representatives of the CLA at a VIP lunch, before meeting with a number of businesses from across Central Suffolk and North Ipswich, including Walnes Seeds.
Throughout the year, Dr Dan regularly meets with farmers and food producers in Central Suffolk and was pleased to offer his support once again at Suffolk's flagship event, the annual Suffolk Show.
