Dr Dan Poulter, Member of Parliament for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich, has praised the efforts of three volunteers for setting up a new community radio station in Framlingham and has welcomed the opportunity to engage with local residents after agreeing to hold a regular slot on new community station, Radio Castle.
Radio Castle, which operates out of the Framlingham Technology Centre, was set up last year by directors Christopher Hudson, Colin Walker and Rupert Darrant and is run as a community interest company. The directors have encouraged any budding local presenters and talented scriptwriters to get involved with the station, which is run solely by local volunteers and delivers information about local events to the community, while also providing a platform for young people with an interest in radio to learn vital new skills from its training suite
Listeners will be able to tune in and listen to Dr Poulter on the Framlingham community station every month, where he will discuss the latest issues he is tackling as your local MP, his work as a hospital doctor, as well as music and other local issues of interest.
