A longstanding supported of Easton and Otley College's Otley Campus, local MP, Dr Dan Poulter was delighted to join the College's Principal, Jane Townsend to celebrate the campus's annual "Big Day Out".
The Family Fun Day and College Open Day celebrates and showcases all that is on offer at the Otley Campus, from flower arranging and animal husbandry, to arboriculture and agricultural engineering. Enjoying a tour of the Campus, Dr Dan enjoyed meeting representatives from Suffolk Young Farmers, a number of students keen to showcasing the excellent work that the College does in training young people for careers in the landed economy.
Prospective students had the chance to see the fabulous campus at its very best and to chat with tutors and staff from each area of the curriculum.
Speaking about the visit, Dr Dan said, "As a regular visitor to Otley Campus, I very much enjoyed the annual Fun Day today. I have always been impressed with the range of opportunities available and the positive impact that it has on so many lives, fromthe students themselves to the employers they go on to work with. It's absolutely essential that we continue to have a land-based college in this region and it's vital that we can continue to provide this specialist education for our talented young people, who will gain the skills they need to go on and support not only this sector, but also Suffolk's thriving economy."
