Local MP, Dr Poulter, was today pleased to visit Saxtead-based firm, Andrew Maskery Associates to learn more about the bespoke services they offer, as well as to talk about advances in livestock vaccination procedures.
Andrew Maskery Associates are experts in providing best value livestockcare and agricultural supplies direct to farms across Suffolk and the East of England. The business has developed to cater for both smallholders and large scale farmers, and offers a one-stop service to meet a wealth of farming and livestock needs.
Latest innovations include the introdution of detectable needles for livestock vaccination, significantly helping to eradicate the issue of broken needles, which can be a key concern in the meat production industry. These needles are incredibly strong and highly unlikely to break, but most importantly, they are 100% detectable by metal detection systems in the food processing line.
Dr Dan is keen to support Andrew Maskery Associates in their endeavours to make the use of these needles mandatory in England and will be raising this important issue directly in Parliament.
